She'll also explain which behaviors are important for aspiring dog actors, and walk you through how to shape those behaviors.
About Marla Marla Friedler-Cooper combines 20+ years experience as a film and TV producer with her education and experience as a dog trainer to teach animal acting classes at Hollywood Dog Stars. Using positive reinforcement training, she will prepare you and your dog to enter the exciting world of show business. In addition to being a producer, Marla is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT) and also has an M.A. and B.A. in Communications (Radio, TV and Film) and graduated from wild animal training school, where she worked with wolves, lions and tigers. Marla has been a National Agility Finalist with her golden retriever, ADCH MACH 3 Roxy, who is in the Agility Dog Hall of Fame and her border collie, MACH ADCH Sage, is a nationally competitive agility dual-champion who won the Del Mar Palm Classic Speed Challenge. She is currently competing at the highest levels of agility with her border collies, Synergy and Spritz, who are also doing set work along with her chihuahua, Samba. Marla has trained many dogs (and even a cat) for numerous TV commercials, TV shows and movies, including Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2. |
